This is a wonderful city to explore and photograph - Helsinki is the capital and most populous city of Finland.
I loved the gardens around Blarney Castle - This place is most famous for being the home of the Blarney Stone, which according to folklore, bestows the gift of the flattery and eloquence on those who kiss the stone.
An absolutely GREAT place to eat. - It is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London, with a market on this site dating back to at least the 12th century.
Hardangerfjord is the second largest fjord in Norway. Surrounded by towering cliffs, snow-capped mountains and blossoming fruit trees, this part of Norway is a masterpiece of nature.
Hardangerfjord was originally made through glacial erosion and by the high pressure melting water which pushed its way beneath the ice about 8000 years ago.
One of my favorite cities to photograph - Originally a Viking fishing village established in the 10th century.
A Venice-like city - Historical Note: Amsterdam was founded on the Amstel river that was dammed to control flooding; the city's name derives from the Amstel dam.
Viewed here is the River Thames that flows through southern England, including London.(Length 215 miles) It is the longest river in England. Photo taken from one of the many bridges spanning the river in London.
A very big statue, hard to miss - The statue depicts Absalon as a military commander, mounted on a rearing horse, wearing a mail and helmet, holding an axe in his right hand.
Looking from the sea at low tide to the fishing boats and traditional fishing village of Polperro in Cornwall, UK
Bruges (Brugge in Dutch) is a popular tourism destination within Belgium and is one of my most favorite places to photograph. ,
This church is worth stepping into and photographing, (St. Elisabeth Church). The church dates back to 1245 The interior is simple yet attractive, featuring a central worship area and two side chapels.
Though I saw it, I did not kiss the stone - very difficult - a challenge for height sensitive people like me.
Hamburg is the second-largest city in Germany after Berlin. A nice place to explore - great food - Lots of brick and stone. Not so photogenetic.
Love the trees in Brugge - photos taken in early spring (April) - budding life and color everywhere.
The city is named after the Dano-Norwegian King - King Christian IV, who founded it on 5 July 1641. The second part of the city's name, sand, refers to the sandy headland the city was built on.
One of many photos taken of food in Hamburg - on our brief day there, what did we eat - Japanese food.
What a charming place to photograph. (Great Pastry) - Quimper is the ancient capital of Cornouaille, Brittany's most traditional region, and has a distinctive Breton Celtic character.
Great place to explore - Beautiful trees and ladies everywhere. History Note: Oslo was founded as a city at the end of the Viking Age in 1040 under the name Ánslo.
Our photo exploring was mostly around the embassy district with wonderful structures and gardens. Seen here is a typical street view with electric lighting cables everywhere.
Loved photographing the Oslo trees. Spring colors everywhere in Oslo.
Walking around Quimper, it seemed that evry 10 store was a pastry one. Lucky for us.
More views of the Oslo embassy district.
